With the new additions, the number of BASE centres in Karnataka have gone up to Eleven in total. BASE which is one of the most trusted and successful training institutes in Karnataka functions on the lines of “Be ahead with sustained excellence”. Each year, the number of BASE students qualifying to the IITs is more than that of all other institutions in Karnataka put together.

“The centres will be fully equipped in all aspects of academic interest like Library, Counselling, Technologically enabled classrooms etc. These centres will cater to students in and around the location of these centres” said Dr. H.S. Nagaraja, Director and founder of BASE.

Dr. H.S. Nagaraja who has been active in the educational field for four decades, started his career at Vijaya College, Bangalore as a Physics Faculty. Today he is part of many school and college Managements in the state and advises them on academic matters. He has been part of various committees on education.

“With the Indian economy growing, there is a need for quality manpower in India today. There is a need to take quality education to students beyond metro cities. BASE, intends to start centres in various district headquarters in Karnataka. We intend to add at least 10 more centres during this fiscal. BASE also has associations with many institutions and will build associations with more institutions across the state” he added.

‘With travelling becoming difficult in Bangalore, students need centres close by to where they live and study’ he added.

“Udupi has been a hub of education since pre-independence days. The district has given the first private bank and also the first deemed university to the country. There are also a good number of colleges in the district. To strengthen the educational support available to the students of Udupi, more so for those who aspire to compete at the state and national levels, we have entered Udupi” said Mr. Vallish N. Herur, Director, BASE.

The new centres will cater to students of class 9 with a program called Foundation-IIT, which helps students understand scientific concepts and their application. The centre will also cater to students of class 11/ 1st PUC for preparation to IIT-JEE, AIPMT, AIEEE. For students intending to join engineering and Medical colleges in Karnataka the centre will provide a PU+CET Programme. The centres will be also be introducing innovative life-skills programmes to cater to students for classes 5 to 8. Apart from that the centre will also be in the space of Teachers’ Orientation to help teachers teach better in the classrooms. BASE updates its training programs regularly. BASE makes extensive usage of Technology in their training programs.

Till date BASE has trained more than 25,000 students at the high school and Pre-university levels in Sciences and Mathematics.
